I started my journey with glass when a colleague asked me to accompany her to a mosaic class.
I enjoyed mosaics but found working with ceramic tiles hard on my hands so I went to a place that taught glass mosaics. I continued on my glass journey and tried copper foiling and leadlight.
Then one Saturday I discovered that a warm glass class, taught by Ben Saberolle, was starting soon. I signed up on the spot. After 8 weeks of learning warm glass I was hooked.
March 2006, my dear friend Bronwyn, invited me to a glass exhibition at Te Papa Wellington NZ. I purchased a piece of glass jewellery that set me on my dichroic glass path. Thank you Bronwyn you are my mentor!
I started my glass jewellery in June 2006, got my own kiln in December 2006 and have been passionate about glass fusing ever since.
I love the beautiful colors that are created with dichroic glass and every time I open the kin to see the next batch it's like Xmas!
I hope you enjoy the beautiful colors of dichroic glass as much as I do.
